Congratulations to Amber Bardarson who was awarded the Academic Scholars and President's Student Program award to attend LSU. Amber also received the Academic Honors Scholarship to attend Nicholls State University.
Students will begin taking their state mandated EOC tests this month. These “End of Course Tests” are graduation requirements by the state that every child must pass in order to receive their diploma. Please have your child at school these days, well rested and prepared. EOC test results make up a large percentage of Terrebonne High’s SPS or “School Performance Score” the grade we receive from the State of Louisiana Department of Education. These test results will help us regain our “A” school rating here at Terrebonne High. Please refer to the schedule below and discuss with your child the importance of doing well on these tests.
2017 EOC Testing Schedule

Terrebonne High Junior Golfer Cameron Dowden competed in the Region I Division I Tournament at “Links on the Bayou” in Alexandria this past week. Cameron had shot a 77 to finish seventh in the District 1-2, Division I Tournament to qualify for Regionals.
In their annual review of the nation’s 22,000 high schools, U.S. News and World Report named Terrebonne High a bronze medal school and rated THS as one of the nation’s leading high schools. Only the top 30% of the nation’s high schools receive this distinction from the magazine. Terrebonne High was ranked 30th in schools in Louisiana out-ranking all the other high schools in Terrebonne Parish and the surrounding parishes of Lafourche and St. Charles. Criteria used for judging schools included a high graduation rate, college preparedness (number of AP courses offered and high ACT scores), the performance of minority students and low-income students as compared to those nationally, and that students at Terrebonne High outperform both the district and state on EOC tests in English and Math. We are proud of the great work of our faculty and student body at THS in achieving this national recognition.
Congratulations to Joelle McGuire who received the Academic Excellence Scholarship to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Based on Joelle's academic credentials, she has been awarded this offer.
2016 School Report Card
THS School Performance Scores
The State Department of Education recently released the Louisiana School Performance Scores (SPS). The latest reports places Terrebonne High School as a “B” school with an SPS score of 99.3. A minimum of 100.00 SPS points is needed to reach an "A" status. This year’s scores were calculated under a new formula by the state that factors only tests scores (EOC, ACT/ WorkKeys, CLEP and others), and graduation data for high schools.
This success is attributable to hard-working students, strong parental support, and teachers dedicated to their students. We invite our THS family to visit THS and see what we are doing. We also invite our parents, friends and community members to get involved by joining our Athletic Booster Club, Band Booster Club, parent meetings and contribute to our school programs.
We are proud of our accomplishments at Terrebonne High School. Please, take the time to look at our SPS Report Card below.
